5,000 people. 46 programs. 44 partners. 13 sponsors. 6 months. 1 community.
As we wrap up our celebration of Israel’s 65th birthday, we want to thank you—our community—for your support, your participation and your enthusiasm, all of which made possible this unprecedented collaboration among virtually every congregation and Jewish organization in Cincinnati. The success of Israel@65 reminds us how proud we are to call this community home.
The entire community came together to celebrate our deep connections and commitment to both Israel and each other with featured events - from our commemoration of the anniversary of the 1947 U.N. vote to create the Jewish state in November, through a week of events in April celebrating Israel Independence Day.
The final exciting event was the Israeli Cultural Fest and the concert by multiplatinum singer and musician David Broza, presented by the JCC Wolf Center for Arts & Ideas and The Jewish Foundation of Cincinnati. Throughout, local community agencies and congregations offered dozens of creative and diverse Israel-focused programs that turned a series of events into a six-month-long community-wide celebration of Israel.
We are grateful to Israel@65 co-chairs Nina and Eddie Paul, lead professionals Yair Cohen and Rabbi Shena Jaffee and all the sponsors, partners, lay leaders, volunteers and professional staff who made this initiative a success.
